Roundup of E-Liquids and Pod-Systems at EVO NXT: GOLD BAR, TYSON Unveil E-Liquids

Rise of refillable e-cigarette products in European market since 2023, UK bans disposable e-cigarettes, e-liquids become popular.

Since 2023, there has been a trend of rising popularity in Europe's e-cigarette market for refillable products. In January 2024, the UK announced a ban on disposable e-cigarettes, sparking a growing interest in e-liquid products. At the recent EVO NXT tobacco exhibition in Spain, 2FIRSTS also observed a significant increase in exhibitors showcasing refillable products and e-liquid products.

In addition, at the expo, the newly popular mainstream brand GOLD BAR released pod system and e-liquid products; the well-known American brand TYSON also showcased its e-liquid products.

She said PMI’s claim that the sponsorship targets adults is misleading, as F1’s audience has become increasingly young—with over 4 million children aged 8–12 now following the sport.

South Korea’s President Raises Safety Concerns Over Nicotine Alternatives at Cabinet Meeting

South Korea’s Cabinet has approved an amendment to the Tobacco Business Act that legally classifies liquid e-cigarettes as tobacco products. Under the revision, any product containing tobacco or nicotine will fall under tobacco regulation, explicitly including synthetic nicotine vapes. The move addresses long-standing regulatory and taxation gaps.

Singapore Charges 14 Over Vape Syndicate Under Organised Crime Act

Singapore police said 13 people were charged on Oct 30 under the Organised Crime Act over an alleged syndicate supplying vapes locally; a 14th suspect is expected to be charged on Oct 31. All 14 had earlier been charged for possessing, or conspiring to possess, vapes for sale and are remanded. Police said the group allegedly imported vapes from Malaysia. OCA carries up to S$100,000 fine or five years’ jail; vape import/sale offences also face stiff penalties.
