Paul McDonald, chairman of Supreme, stated that the firm continued to expand its "large customer network" in the retail sector and was "delighted with the progress made in boosting retail penetration and the positive impact of recent brand and product releases."
McDonald's stated, "Trading in the current fiscal year remains in line with market expectations, and the company is well positioned to deliver on our strategic goals, supported by the recent acquisition of the e-cigarette business Liberty Flights and the trading and assets of Cuts Ice and Flavor Core."
Our rapidly expanding e-cigarette segment continues to drive the expansion of the group.
In addition to the strong performance of Supreme's 88 e-cigarette brand, which included new customer wins in grocery and convenience retail, McDonald's stated that it is committed to expanding its e-cigarette segment through its recent acquisitions of Liberty Flights in June and Cuts Ice and Flavor Core in August.
McDonald's stated that the two acquisitions are "very complementary and instantly revenue-enhancing" and will offer scale to the organization, adding that the company is "at a disadvantage" in its efforts to minimize the effects of inflation on consumers.
The board remains confident in Supreme's strategic aspirations, which are supported by the promising future of e-cigarettes, he said.
