On June 3rd at 10:00 AM Madrid time, the Vapexpo Spain, the largest and most important vaping exhibition in Spain, officially opened at the Pabellón de Cristal in Madrid.

During the exhibition, 2FIRSTS interviewed Flavour Factory, an e-liquid company from the UK. The spokesperson mentioned that this was Flavour Factory's second time participating in the event and noted a significant increase in both exhibitors and visitors compared to the previous year. 2FIRSTS also interviewed the organizers, who stated that the number of attendees exceeded the previous edition, with an estimated count of over 3,000 people expected to be present.

Flavour Factory's representative believes that there is still room for growth in the Spanish e-cigarette market, stating that the market's acceptance of e-cigarettes is not as high as in other European regions, referring to it as an "emerging market."

Additionally, the spokesperson shared their perspective on e-cigarette product categories, suggesting that disposable products are a phase that every e-cigarette market goes through. However, the controversies surrounding disposable products may lead to the emergence of larger vapor production and pod-based systems as future trends.

Another exhibitor, lavaportienda, specializing in high vapor production products, expressed their concerns regarding the taxation of e-liquids in Spain. They believe that the current regulatory framework in the country is sufficient to support the market but anticipate that high taxes on e-liquids will hinder the development of the e-cigarette industry.

According to the representative, there are discussions about increasing taxes, and "the future taxes will be eight times higher" than they are now. As an example, he mentioned that a 10ml nicotine product currently sold for 1 euro may be sold for 8 euros in three years, which he believes would "kill" the entire e-cigarette industry.

2FIRSTS interviewed other e-cigarette companies regarding the "e-liquid tax" issue, and they expressed similar concerns.

According to the on-site information gathered by 2FIRSTS, the exhibition had over 130 exhibitors and attracted nearly 10,000 industry professionals from around the world. On May 15th, 2FIRSTS announced a media partnership with Vapexpo Spain to jointly promote the global development and exchange of the vaping industry.
