Explosive Debut
Shen Haomiao is the CEO of UWELL Technology Co., Ltd., which is located in Bao'an District of Shenzhen city. Since its establishment in 2015, it has always adhered to the concept of making products well. According to Shen Haomiao, its founder started research and development after paying attention to the field of electronic cigarettes and having a strong interest in it. UWELL's first and core product, the Crown First Gen, has appeared in front of consumers since then.
"In 2015, the product (Crown First Gen) became a hit in the market as soon as it was released in the United States. It can be said to be a standard product in the field of large cigarettes. Many flavor tuners use this product as a standard for testing." Shen Haomiao said.
After 7 years of development, UWELL has successively released a series of products, which are well received by customers around the world. From past to now, UWELL’s products have a relatively high market share in more than 50 countries around the world, covering more than 70 countries, with more than 200 closely cooperating distributor partners.
Feet on the Ground, Working Hard
When asked, what kind of company is UWELL? Shen Haomiao teased: "A science and engineering man. On the way to development, teams will encounter some difficulties more or less, some people will hesitate, some companies will change track. UWELL is more based on the present, down-to-earth, immersed in work, using products to make reputation, using word of mouth to win the market’s favor.
When asked what the company hopes for the future, Shen Haomiao once again showed the results with straightforward data: "In 2020, we launched a total of about 20 products. In 2021, we launched more than 30 products. By this year, our plan is more than 40 models." The increase of ten models year by year is proof of their ambition.
Turn Made in China into a Chinese Brand
After years of ups and downs in the industry, Shen Haomiao shared his insights: "From the overall situation, I think electronic cigarettes are a revolutionary invention. The emergence of electronic cigarettes is equivalent to the invention of automobiles a hundred years ago. It replaced horses. It is irreversible. Which is why I am so firm and optimistic about this industry. But from the perspective of the domestic market, it is more inclined to equipment manufacturing. In this process, it seems that we will gradually lose our own brand and drive development with products instead.”
The development of science and technology is irreversible. How to make Made in China into a Chinese brand in the new era is the future development direction of UWELL, and it is also a common challenge faced by the domestic e-cigarette industry and its practitioners.
