A gradual increase in the price of tobacco products will begin next March to November 17 due to an increase in excise taxes on tobacco products, Bulgarian state radio reported.

This price increase is scheduled to be completed in January 2026. The decision was made by the Parliamentary Budget Committee in the first reading.

According to unofficial estimates, the price of a pack of cigarettes will increase by an average of about 20 leva (10¢). For other types of tobacco products, the price increase will be even greater.
