
According to the announcement made on October 13th by British American Tobacco (BAT), Cora Koppe-Stahrenberg has been appointed as the Chief People Officer following the subsequent steps of management alteration on June 19th, 2023. She will officially join the management team starting from November 1st, 2023.

Starenberg has had a career that has equipped her with valuable experience in various fields. Most recently, she served as the Global Head of Human Resources at Fresenius Medical Care, a company with over 125,000 employees worldwide. During her tenure, she established a novel approach to global human resources and implemented a comprehensive strategy focused on promoting a harmonious and collaborative culture. She implemented a series of reform measures to achieve these objectives. Prior to this role, she held various senior international human resources positions at Marsh McLennan, the Abu Dhabi Investment Authority, and General Electric.
Tadeu Marroco, CEO of British American Tobacco, has welcomed this move and described it as an important measure to strengthen the company's management team. He emphasized that culture and collaboration are at the core of his leadership philosophy. Cop-Staunberg will share these values and play a crucial role in the company's transformation process of "building a better tomorrow".
According to reports, Stålenberg will submit a work report to Tadeu.
