PMI Hosts Malaysia Electronics Supplier Summit, IntreTech Wins Award
At the Malaysia Electronics Supplier Summit hosted by Philip Morris Malaysia (PMM), IntreTech was awarded the "2024 Outstanding Supplier of the Year"

Recently, Xiamen IntreTech Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "IntreTech") attended the Malaysia Electronics Supplier Summit jointly organized by the Johor Economic, Tourism and Cultural Office (JETCO), the Malaysia Investment Development Authority (MIDA), and Philip Morris Malaysia (PMM), and received the "2024 Outstanding Supplier" award.

 

IntreTech has been collaborating closely with PMI since 2014, providing product design and production services. Since the launch of the Yinqu Industrial 4.0 Park in Malaysia, it has attracted over ten companies to set up operations, with an annual output value exceeding 300 million US dollars.

UK Tobacco and Vapes Bill Receives Royal Assent, Banning Tobacco Sales to People Born After 2008
The UK government announced on April 29 that the Tobacco and Vapes Bill had received Royal Assent and become law. Under the new law, it is illegal to sell tobacco to anyone born on or after Jan. 1, 2009. The government said the law creates the UK’s first “smoke-free generation” and includes measures to ban the advertising and sponsorship of vapes and nicotine products, as well as powers to restrict packaging, branding and displays designed to appeal to children.

The device is equipped with a 1400mAh battery, supports Type-C charging, features a 0.4Ω dual mesh coil, and supports three power settings of 20W, 30W, and 40W.

Retailers in the UK have called on the government to provide greater resources to Trading Standards in response to the growing trade in illicit tobacco and vapes. Fed national vice-president Hemanshu Patel made the call during a panel discussion at the National Convenience Show in Birmingham on April 15.

Ukraine’s Verkhovna Rada has registered a bill that would ban the use of tobacco products, vapes, hookahs, herbal smoking mixtures and heated tobacco devices by people under 17. The bill was introduced by People’s Deputy Georgiy Mazurashu and has already been sent to the relevant parliamentary committee. The author said one reason for the initiative is the prevalence of vaping among adolescents.

U.S. Senator Durbin Criticizes FDA’s First Flavored Vape Authorization, Says Trump Administration Conceded to Big Tobacco
U.S. Senator Dick Durbin on May 13 criticized the Trump Administration’s Food and Drug Administration for approving the sale and marketing of fruit-flavored e-cigarettes for the first time, while also allowing some illegal vaping products to remain on the market. He also linked the regulatory shift to the departure of FDA Commissioner Marty Makary, saying White House pressure on regulators to approve tobacco product applications could create serious public-health consequences.

China Customs Administration released e-cigarette export data for January and February 2025, showing varied monthly performances in 2026.In January, the export value was $940 million, a decrease of 6.2% compared to January 2025's $1.02 billion. In February, the export value was $754 million, a 51.2% increase compared to February 2025's $498 million.
