Shenzhen, April 1, 2026

PLONQ, Russia’s most influential vape brand, has officially opened its upgraded Shenzhen office, turning its existing China presence from a representative office into a more substantial base for engineering, design and supply-chain coordination.

The move is more than a routine office expansion. It signals a broader shift in how PLONQ is organizing product development in China — not as a set of distributed functions around a supply base, but as a more integrated operation built closer to engineering teams, suppliers and manufacturing partners.

The opening ceremony took place on March 27 at PLONQ’s office in Bao’an District, with senior leadership, including executives from the Moscow headquarters, attending in person to underscore the strategic importance of the company’s expanded presence in Shenzhen.

More Than an Administrative Office

PLONQ is positioning Shenzhen not as a representative office, but as an operational base tied directly to product development, engineering and execution. By bringing key functions together in one place, the company aims to speed up prototyping, improve quality control and strengthen coordination with manufacturing partners.

This move is part of a broader business objective. As PLONQ expands beyond its strong position in Russia and grows into new categories, deeper engagement with China’s technology and manufacturing ecosystem becomes essential. The Shenzhen office is intended to support that next phase.

How PLONQ Is Using Shenzhen to Accelerate Development

According Kenneth Tam, PLONQ uses its Shenzhen presence to work closer to the technology, engineering and manufacturing ecosystem that supports faster product development. Proximity to suppliers and production partners allows the company to shorten feedback loops, move faster through prototyping and improve coordination across development stages.

This matters as PLONQ expands into new categories and strengthens its innovation pipeline. A deeper operational presence in China helps the company improve execution, maintain quality standards and support more efficient product development at scale.

For Chinese partners, this expansion means PLONQ is building a more permanent and more engaged platform for collaboration in Shenzhen. The company is looking to work more closely with local technology, engineering and manufacturing partners on product innovation, technical development and long-term category growth.

This marks a broader shift in PLONQ’s operating model in China. Rather than relying on distributed functions, the company is building a more integrated development platform in Shenzhen that brings product, engineering and supply-chain execution closer together. That should help reduce communication gaps, speed up development cycles, strengthen quality control and support closer collaboration with both headquarters and Chinese manufacturing partners.

A Strategy Consistent With PLONQ’s Product Direction

The Shenzhen expansion is consistent with PLONQ’s broader product direction. Over the past year, the company has emphasized innovation, smart functionality and product design in its recent launches, including the Plonq Meta Smart POD system. Strengthening its presence in Shenzhen gives PLONQ a stronger operational base to translate that strategy into faster development and better execution.

A Strategic Step in PLONQ’s Next Phase of Growth

The Shenzhen office represents PLONQ’s next stage of growth. Having built a leading position in Russia, the company is now strengthening its capabilities for expansion in new categories and new markets. China plays a central role in that strategy — not only through manufacturing, but through R&D, engineering collaboration and partnerships with Chinese companies. For partners in Shenzhen and across China, PLONQ is signaling long-term commitment, larger ambitions and readiness for deeper cooperation.

2Firsts has learned that France’s national health authority, the Haute Autorité de Santé (HAS), confirmed the role of e-cigarettes will be addressed in updated national smoking-cessation guidelines expected by the end of 2026. HAS said the recommendations will focus on clinical and public-health considerations, will not set technical standards for vaping products, and that current studies are insufficient to clearly assess risks and benefits across different product categories.
