Taiwan, China to Ban Sales and Manufacture of E-cigs

Taiwan provincial government ("Legislative Yuan") passed the third reading of the "Law of Tobacco Harm Prevention and Control" that will put a ban on the manufacturing, import, sales, and advertisement of vaping products, and will limit the heating tobacco market by reviewing products and outlawing uncertified ones in the endeavor of promoting public health. Violators will face penalties up to 50 million NT$ (1.66 million US$). 

 

Besides, the law has broaden the range of smoke-free areas by adding kindergartens, colleges, etc. onto the list and banned the advertisements of all "necessary e-cig components".
