2Firsts, Sep 10, 2025 — From Bangkokpost's report, Thailand’s Economic Crime Suppression Division (ECD) dismantled an illicit e-cigarette production and distribution operation during a raid on a warehouse-factory in Soi Sakae-ngam, Bang Khunthian district. Acting on intelligence that Chinese investors had rented the premises to manufacture e-cigarettes and store imported vaping liquids and other raw materials, officers executed a search and seized a substantial cache of evidence.

According to Pol Maj Gen Thatphum Jaruprat, ECD Commander, police arrested two Chinese men, Deng Yunguang (27) and Gao Wen (37), identified as managers of the facility. The search uncovered approximately 20,000 finished e-cigarette products ready for distribution, in addition to chemical tanks, raw materials, and manufacturing equipment believed to be used in production.

The two managers were charged with colluding to operate an illegal business related to the production and sale of e-cigarettes, which are prohibited under Thai law. Authorities also detained 11 Myanmar nationals working at the site as illegal migrants.

All suspects and seized items have been handed over to ECD Sub-Division 2 for further investigation and prosecution. Officials said the operation underscores ongoing efforts to disrupt illegal e-cigarette manufacturing and prevent contraband products from reaching the Thai market.
