Moroccan 2024 Fiscal Proposal: Increased Import Taxes and Localization
Morocco's 2024 fiscal draft proposes a significant increase in import duties on disposable e-cigarettes, from 2.5% to 40%.

According to a report by Marrakechalaan, the proposed financial draft for Morocco in 2024 is expected to significantly increase the import tax on disposable e-cigarettes, with the rate projected to rise from 2.5% to 40%.

 

The draft also proposes to raise import tariffs on certain consumer products and devices from 2.5% to 30%, in order to increase fiscal revenues for the national public budget.

 

According to the memo, these measures will strengthen and protect the domestic production of these products and devices, further promoting localization in Morocco.
