Turkish Customs Seize $907,795 Smuggled E-Cigarettes, Including ELFBAR, in Istanbul Port
Turkiye Gazetesi reported on July 26 that Turkish customs seized smuggled e-cigarettes worth 30 million Turkish lira in Istanbul.

According to a report by Turkiye Gazetesi on July 26, the customs at the Ambarli Port in Istanbul, Turkey seized smuggled e-cigarettes worth 30 million Turkish Lira (907,795 USD). The confiscated products included the e-cigarette brand "ELFBAR".

During a smuggling operation led by the Customs Enforcement Team of the Turkish Ministry of Trade, a suspicious container at the Istanbul Ambarli Port, believed to pose a risk, underwent a detailed inspection. The inspection and search revealed 11 trays wrapped in black plastic film inside the container.

After opening the black plastic wrap, inspectors discovered 118 cardboard boxes filled with transparent plastic bottles, containing a total of 23,575 e-cigarettes. The market value of these e-cigarettes is approximately 30 million Turkish Lira (907,795 US dollars).


The investigation into the case is still ongoing at the Republic Prosecutor's Office of Dubuque-Chenckmeje.
