British American Tobacco (BAT) Italy has added 16 production lines at its factory in San Dorligo della Valle, with plans to hire 150 professionals by 2026. These new production lines will manufacture products under the "Made in Italy" brand, benefiting from an investment of 80 million euros. The factory area will also expand to 30,000 square meters.
As part of their annual plan, the Italian company BAT announced back in 2024 that they will create 2700 job opportunities over the next five years. It is expected that these future positions will mainly focus on the manufacturing sector, covering a variety of roles such as production operators, equipment maintenance technicians, quality control officers, technicians, engineers, and production process coordinators.
In addition, the Italian branch of BAT has renewed an intent memorandum with the Ministry of Agriculture, planning to purchase 15,000 tons of Italian tobacco between 2026 and 2028. This will directly impact over 400 agricultural enterprises and 6,000 employees, mainly located in the Veneto, Umbria, and Campania regions.
