According to NEOSMO, Japan Tobacco (JT) will introduce four new EVO variants for its heated tobacco brand Ploom: Green Mint, Cacao Mint Crystal, Tropical Lime Crystal and Sakura Regular.
NEOSMO said all four products will be sold in 20-stick packs priced at 550 yen (about $3.5, tax included).
- Green Mint is positioned as a menthol variant, featuring a crisp mint profile with a slightly sweet, herbal mint note.

- Cacao Mint Crystal is a capsule variant, combining mint with a bittersweet cacao flavour. NEOSMO said crushing the capsule adds a light berry note.

- Tropical Lime Crystal is also a capsule variant, built around a ripe mango flavour paired with a lime capsule.

- Sakura Regular is positioned as a regular (non-menthol) variant, described as smooth with a more pronounced blended aroma.

On the rollout schedule, Green Mint and Cacao Mint Crystal are set to go on sale first on Jan. 22, 2026, followed by Tropical Lime Crystal and Sakura Regular on Feb. 3, 2026. The initial release will be through the CLUB JT online store and Ploom retail stores, the report said.
To support the launch, JT will run a voting campaign for Ploom users to choose which of the four new variants will be rolled out nationwide, including convenience stores. Voting is scheduled for Feb. 3–Feb. 28, 2026, while Ploom stores will begin in-store voting initiatives from Jan. 22. The vote will be conducted via Ploom’s official Instagram account and at Ploom stores, with results expected in early March 2026.
