Turkish authorities seized 10,000 tobacco-filled cigarette papers and 10kg of shredded tobacco in a smuggling operation in Ankara.

According to a report from haber1 on September 23, a crackdown on cigarette smuggling was carried out in the Yenimahalle district of Ankara, Turkey. Officials seized 10,000 filtered cigarette papers containing tobacco and 10 kilograms of shredded tobacco.

 

Ankara Province officials have released a statement regarding the recent reporting of illegal tobacco sales in the Yenimahalle district. Following coordination with the Ankara Chief Prosecutor's Office, a search was conducted at the suspect's workplace, resulting in the seizure of 10,000 cigarette rolling papers filled with tobacco, 100 e-cigarettes, 100 containers of e-cigarette liquid, 150 kilograms of hookah tobacco, 350 kilograms of hookah charcoal, and 10 kilograms of shredded tobacco.

 

Currently, the illegal tobacco products have been confiscated. Legal action has been taken against the suspects.
