The Busan Department of Education held an awards ceremony for the "Creating a Smoke-Free Story Smoking Prevention Creative Contest" in Busan, South Korea, on October 22nd.

According to Naver news on October 22nd, the Education Department of Busan City in South Korea held an award ceremony for the "Creating Smoke-Free Stories: Smoking Prevention Creative Contest" at the Busan Student Education Culture Hall.


The competition aimed to create a smoke-free and healthy school environment for students, faculty, parents, and non-school youth. A total of 630 works were received in four categories, including posters, online comics, cartoons, calligraphy fonts, and public service advertisements.


The speeches delivered by the works of 14 exceptional teams at the awards ceremony have added significant meaning to the competition. Additionally, 51 outstanding works are being showcased at the Student Education and Cultural Hall to remind students about the dangers of tobacco. Park Jihoon, the Director of Educational Policy at the Busan City Department of Education, expressed that this competition will serve as a great opportunity for schools and communities to promote smoking prevention and a smoke-free culture. He emphasized their continuous and utmost efforts to ensure that adolescents stay away from tobacco and grow up in a healthy manner.
