EAEU Used Unified Cargo Code to Track Transport of E-cigarette Products

The transport number will assist the participants of the information interaction to automatically identify the unique identifier of each specific transport cargo when processing the information without manual intervention. At the same time, ensure that the rules that make up the numbers have no possibility of repetition.
The draft decision is based on the agreement on using navigational seals to track transport agreements in the Eurasian Economic Union. It is to implement the first of the 28 decisions of the agreement.
According to TASS, the agreement was signed in Moscow in April 2022. It aims to expand the use of modern technologies in cargo transport systems, including maximizing the simplification of customs processes and other types of national controls and tracking related goods transported through the territory of the Eurasian Economic Union.
As part of a transport tracking system spanning two or more EAEU territories, the terms of the agreement lay the foundation for the use of regulatory navigational seals. They involve goods transported by road or rail by customs transit procedures, including goods with special economic measures in individual or multiple member states, such as alcohol products and tobacco products. The telecom operators of the Eurasian Economic Union countries will track the cargo information.
The approval of the agreement will improve the efficiency of using navigational seals, track each stage of transportation, exclude other additional control measures by the authorities of the EAEU member states, and eliminate different types of commercial and administrative barriers.
