European Union Imports and Exports of E-Cigarettes in 2022
According to Eurostat, the EU imported e-cigarettes worth €3.29 billion and exported €1.3 billion in 2022.

On September 19th, e-cigarette import and export data for the 27 member countries of the European Union in 2022 was released by Eurostat, the statistical office of the European Union. Here are the specifics:

 

Import of e-cigarettes:

  • Import value: 3,294,126,809 euros, approximately 3.294 billion euros. 
  • Total import weight: 56,021,982 kilograms, equivalent to 56 thousand metric tons.

Export of e-cigarettes: 

  • Export value: 1,297,871,630 euros, approximately 1.298 billion euros. 
  • Total export weight: 30,780,616 kilograms, equivalent to 30.8 thousand metric tons.

Net imports of e-cigarettes:

  • Net import value: 1,996,255,179 euros, approximately 1.996 billion euros. 
  • Net import weight: 25,241,366 kilograms, equivalent to 25,000 tons.

 

According to data from the General Administration of Customs of China, in 2022, the total value of China's e-cigarette exports amounted to approximately $9.886 billion, with a total weight of 163,400 tons. Out of this, e-cigarettes directly exported to the 27 member countries of the European Union accounted for 19.61% of China's total export value (about €1.814 billion) and 15.23% of the total weight (about 24,900 tons).

 

According to data from Eurostat, the total value of e-cigarettes directly imported from China by the 27 European Union countries in 2022 amounted to 1,953,286,599 euros, approximately 1.95 billion euros (accounting for 59% of the total EU imports of e-cigarettes). The total weight of these imports was 26,136,453 kilograms.

 

The European Union's statistical office and the General Administration of Customs of China have revealed key trade figures and comparisons for e-cigarette products.
