Hainan County Police Successfully Bust Drug Trafficking Gang
Hainan police successfully capture 21 drug traffickers and seize 127.06 grams of addictive substance in a recent operation.

In a recent operation against the illicit drug trade, the Hainan Ding'an County Public Security Bureau successfully apprehended 21 members of a drug trafficking gang and confiscated a total of 127.06 grams of addictive substances, as reported by Hainan Daily. The Ding'an County People's Court has already conducted legal hearings and made verdicts in relation to this drug trafficking case.

Core member Wu was found guilty of drug trafficking and sentenced to five years in prison, along with a fine of 30,000 RMB. Other members involved in the same case received sentences ranging from four years and ten months to seven months, and fines ranging from 30,000 RMB to 5,000 RMB.

The investigation work conducted by the Ding'an County Public Security Bureau in early February this year has revealed that Yang and Fang, among others, have been engaged in the long-term purchase and sale of the illicit drug known as "Shangtou e-cigarette" from outside the province, in locations such as Haikou, Wenchang, and Ding'an. Upon examination, it was determined that these two individuals are the organizers of this drug trafficking organization in Hainan Province. Yang is responsible for establishing contacts with suppliers in Guangdong and purchasing "Shangtou e-cigarette," and subsequently developing sales channels in Haikou, Wenchang, Ding'an, and other areas to engage in large-scale trafficking.

In order to combat this "cancerous" issue, led by the Guiding Department of the Provincial Public Security Bureau's Anti-Drug Division, the Ding'an County Public Security Bureau took the lead by mobilizing personnel from the Anti-Drug Brigade, Criminal Investigation Brigade, Patrol and Special Police Brigade, as well as various local police stations to form a special task force for covert investigation. This operation was successful in dismantling the drug trafficking network and marking the beginning of an all-out battle against the new type of narcotics.

As a result, the Public Security Bureau of Ding'an County successfully apprehended 21 members of a drug trafficking gang and 14 drug users, confiscated 127.06 grams of addictive substances, and seized drug proceeds worth 260,000 yuan, effectively cutting off a drug trafficking channel that extended from Guangdong to Hainan.
