JAKARTA INTERNATIONAL VAPE EXPO 2024 Featuring ELFBAR, OXVA, etc.

Indonesia's JAKARTA INTERNATIONAL VAPE EXPO 2024 (JIVE) opened at Jakarta International Expo on May 11, attracting top e-cigarette brands.

On May 11, the Indonesian e-cigarette trade show, JAKARTA INTERNATIONAL VAPE EXPO 2024 (JIVE), opened at the Jakarta International Expo Center. The exhibition will last for two days and will conclude on May 12. This event has attracted the participation of dozens of well-known e-cigarette brands such as ELFBAR, GEEK VAPE, OXVA, VOOPOO, and FLUM.

According to reports, the Indonesian e-cigarette market is dominated by open-system products. Therefore, the main exhibitors at this trade show have almost all showcased open-system (refillable) products.

A study by CDC Foundation researchers found no sustained decline in e-cigarette sales across Alabama, Oklahoma and Louisiana, the first three U.S. states to implement e-cigarette directory laws. Louisiana initially saw a significant sales decline, followed by a rebound and a persistent reduction in product availability. Sales also shifted from nontobacco-flavored disposables toward prefilled cartridges, with Vuse Alto driving much of the increase in menthol cartridges. By April 2025, unlisted products still accounted for more than half of e-cigarette nicotine sales in all three states.

Australia’s Coalition has unveiled a national illicit-tobacco policy that would cut tobacco excise by 80% and create legal, regulated and taxed adult markets for vaping products and nicotine pouches if it wins government. U.S. Smokeless Tobacco Company, an Altria Group company, has broken ground on an approximately $250 million manufacturing expansion in Hopkinsville, Kentucky. The roughly 270,000-square-foot facility is expected to create more than 200 jobs and absorb processing, manufacturing and packaging operations currently split between Hopkinsville and Nashville, Tennessee. USSTC previously said production at its Nashville facility is expected to wind down by early 2028.
