2FIRSTS American based correspondents visited a vape shop in Las Vegas in the wake of 2023.

Nevada, where Las Vegas is located, has no flavor bans and excise 30% on wholesale

At the front door of the shop, 2FIRSTS correspondent found posters and promotions applied on the glass wall, most of which were for cigarettes.

US vapes are priced 3 times higher than Russian vapes

At the disposable counter, various brands and types of disposables were seen priced at a range from $19.9 to $29.9. Among which Elf Bar 5000 sold best. Its tag said $24.99 and according to the shop owner, the buying price was $11.5 - a margin of more than 100%.

2FIRSTS Russian correspondents also checked out the local price of Elf Bar 5000. The local Russian price was 1199 Rubles ($18). The shop owner said to the correspondent that a slight drop of the sales of Elf Bar was seen recently and he would love to try some new products when he stock next time.

Another brand that led the shop's sales list was FLUM, another Chinese brand, featuring a wide range of products and flavors. Flum Float (3000 puffs) was priced at $20 and 440 rubles ($6) in Russia.

It's reasonable that the buying price in the US is higher than that in Russia, since US levies higher tariffs on everything that is shipped from China and takes a higher freight. But still, the margin of disposables for the vape shop in Nevada was 2 times of that for the Russian counterparts, according to the calculation by 2FIRSTS.
