Preview: Dialogue Between FDA and American Vapor Manufacturers

Regulations
Jan.30.2023

Brian King, director of the FDA's Center for Tobacco Products (CTP), will participate in a public dialogue on e-cigarettes and harm reduction next month. Brian King took office as director of the FDA's Center for Tobacco Products in July 2022 and has since embarked on a sweeping campaign to regulate e-cigarettes, including increased scrutiny of the PMTA for e-cigarette products and warning letters to non-compliant companies. Previously, Brian King had only appeared and spoken at the Global Tobacco and Nicotine Forum (GTNF) last September and has not interacted with the public since then. Next month's conversation will be his first public dialogue with industry practitioners since taking office.

This event , "The Future of Vaping in the US: A Conversation with FDA's Dr. Brian King", hosted by AVM legislative director Gregory Conley and Allison Boughner, new deputy chair of AVM, will be held at 1 pm Eastern time on 24, February. Click here to register.

Dr. King's conversation may unveil the future trend of the federal regulations on e-cigarettes.
