Progress and Public Consultation on Smoke-Free Generation Policy in UK
The Public Health Agency (PHA) of Northern Ireland welcomes the progress made in the formulation of the 'Smoke-free Generation' policy.

According to a recent report by the foreign media outlet 4ni, the Public Health Agency (PHA) of Northern Ireland, UK, has expressed their satisfaction with the progress made in the development of the Smoke-Free Generation policy, which aims to seek input from the general public across the country.

 

On October 4th, the Department of Health and Social Care (DHSC) in the UK released a directive titled "Preventing the start: Our plan for a smoke-free generation", aiming to prevent future generations from suffering the harms of smoking by creating the first-ever 'smoke-free generation'.

 

Public Health Agency (PHA) welcomes the current nationwide public consultation titled "Creating a smoke-free generation and addressing youth e-cigarette issues: your perspective" and encourages all ages of Northern Ireland residents to submit their feedback to voice their opinions. This consultation will run until 11:59 PM on December 6, 2023.
