The Russian Health Ministry supported the initiative to label vaping machines with information on their harmful use. The department is ready to develop appropriate sketches, the press service of the Ministry told RIA Novosti. The deputy head of the State Duma Committee on Health Protection Sergey Leonov reported that this bill is being developed by the LDPR. Labeling of vapes will contain warnings and "frightening pictures" of harm on the packaging."The Ministry of Health supports the initiative to put warnings about the dangers of nicotine products on the package of electronic nicotine delivery systems, similar to the warnings on the packaging of tobacco products," - said the press service.
Earlier Marineh Gambaryan, a specialist at the Ministry of Health, came out for a ban on electronic cigarettes in Russia. She stressed that without introducing restrictions on their sale it is impossible to achieve the state objectives to combat tobacco use.
