Bangladesh Temporarily Bans Import of E-Cigarettes and ENDS Devices
Bangladesh bans the import of e-cigarettes and ENDS as a measure to protect public health and future generations.

According to a report from Prothomalo on December 12th, the temporary government of Bangladesh has decided to add e-cigarettes and Electronic Nicotine Delivery Systems (ENDS) to the list of banned imported items.


This decision was made at the advisory committee meeting on the 12th, chaired by Chief Advisor Dr. Muhammad Yunus. The policy change, led by the Ministry of Health, aims to ban the import of e-cigarettes.


The Ministry of Health pointed out that the ban is aimed at protecting public health and preventing harm from e-cigarette products for future generations.

China’s E-Cigarette Exports Reached About USD 903 Million in March 2026, Up 4.4% Year on Year
According to the latest country-level data released by China’s General Administration of Customs, China’s e-cigarette-related exports totaled about USD 903 million in March 2026, up about 4.4% from roughly USD 865 million a year earlier. The United States, the United Kingdom and Germany remained the top three destinations, while the top 10 markets together accounted for about 72.2% of total exports.

The American Cancer Society Cancer Action Network said West Virginia Governor Patrick Morrisey has signed House Bill 5691 into law, directing USD 2.9 million from the Juul settlement to youth tobacco prevention and programs that help people quit. A UK bill banning the legal sale of tobacco to people born on or after January 1, 2009 has completed its passage through parliament. Under the bill, those born in that group will never be able to be legally sold tobacco anywhere in the UK. The legislation is expected to receive royal assent next week. It also gives ministers powers to strengthen public-place smoking restrictions and restricts branding, promotion and advertising of vape and nicotine products aimed at children.
