According to the Phnom Penh Military Police, a location selling electronic devices for smoking — nicknamed the “Mystery House” — in Phnom Penh’s nightlife district was raided, and authorities seized more than 300,000 smoking-related items.

The establishment is located at House No. 52, Street 172, Chey Sangkat, Daun Penh District, Phnom Penh. The raid took place at 8:00 p.m. on January 15, 2026, carried out by the Anti-Drug Crime Bureau of the Phnom Penh Military Police in cooperation with the Daun Penh District Military Police, with procedure coordination by Sinn Reaksa, Deputy Prosecutor of the Phnom Penh Municipal Court. The venue was identified as being owned by Taing Sok Heng, a 58-year-old male.

Authorities said they seized evidence including 268,504 smoking machines of various brands, 69,615 cigarette heads of various brands, 792 bottles of vape juice, and 443 marijuana grinding machines. The owner was arrested and sent to the Phnom Penh Military Police Headquarters for legal action.

 

The Phnom Penh Military Police also said similar cases have been prevented and suppressed in many places.
