China and South Korea Sign Tobacco Cooperation Agreement
Chinese tobacco officials met with South Korean and Filipino counterparts, signing cooperation agreements.

On May 17, Zhang Jianmin, the Secretary of the Party Committee and Director of the State Tobacco Monopoly Administration, as well as the General Manager of China National Tobacco Corporation, met with President Baek Bok-in and his delegation from the Korean Tobacco & Ginseng Corporation (KT&G) in Beijing. The two sides held a friendly discussion.


Han Zhanwu, member of the Party Group of the National Bureau and Deputy Director, held a joint meeting.


After the meeting, both sides signed the 2023 plan for implementation of the China-Korea tobacco technology exchange and cooperation agreement.


Officials from the State Administration for Foreign Affairs, the Department of Development Planning, China National Tobacco Corporation, and China Tobacco International attended the meeting.
