Dellanira Herasme, Chairwoman of the Dominican Anti-Tobacco Foundation (Fundacot), has been honored for her contributions in educating people about the usage of tobacco, e-cigarettes, and hookah, according to a report by Almomento on October 7th.
The awards ceremony was held in the auditorium of the Civil Affairs Hall in the province of Pedernales, organized by the Smile in Colors Foundation, chaired by Marta Aguirre. During the event, the provincial governor, Altagracia Brea, was also presented with an honorary medal.
For over 20 years, Fundacot has been making remarkable contributions to global health prevention efforts, making a special mention in the awards.
Hera Sim expressed her gratitude for the recognition from the organization and mentioned that this honor belongs to her family, colleagues, and friends. "I humbly accept this medal as it acknowledges the work I have been doing," she said.
