E-cigarette Awareness Event in Granada Before World No Tobacco Day
Granada health centers organize e-cigarette event to raise awareness on smoking hazards before World No Tobacco Day.

According to local Spanish media Teleprensa, on May 16th, a event focused on e-cigarettes was organized by the Flores-Figares, Zaidín-Centro, and Góngora health centers in Andalusia, Spain. The event aimed to discuss the harms of smoking and e-cigarettes with the public before World No Tobacco Day on May 31st, as well as effective methods for quitting smoking.

 

The event includes health prevention activities and seminars, as well as information exchanges on healthy aging, children's sun protection, and healthy walking. These activities are supported by the Granada Metropolitan Health Region, the Granada City Council, the Department of Health and Consumer Rights, the Sedin Residents' Association, the Red Cross, the Abihar Foundation, and the Center against Gender Violence.

 

More than 58,000 citizens have participated in the three health centers' activities.

PMI Q2 Revenue Rises 10.4% as IQOS and VEEV Expand, U.S. ZYN Growth Slows
Philip Morris International’s second-quarter net revenues rose 10.4% to a record $11.19 billion, as heated tobacco and e-vapor expanded across international markets. IQOS remained the main smoke-free growth engine, while VEEV shipments jumped 55.1%. In the United States, however, ZYN shipments increased just 1.8% and consumer offtake was broadly flat to slightly higher. Cigarette volumes also rose, showing that PMI’s transformation is advancing, but growth is becoming increasingly uneven across categories and markets.

The League of Municipalities of the Philippines (LMP) has urged President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. to prioritize the Smoke- and Vape-Free Bill, seeking a nationwide legal framework for tobacco and vape regulation. Cox has sent notices to more than 1,500 tobacco retailers and distributors warning them against selling vape and nicotine pouch products that lack authorization from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA). FDA’s proposed rule requiring foreign tobacco manufacturers to register establishments and list products is more than routine paperwork, Keller and Heckman LLP partner Azim Chowdhury told 2Firsts. He said it could strengthen FDA’s import enforcement, inspections and market surveillance. French Vape Market Under Pressure as Europe’s First Listed Vape Company Kumulus Vape Reports 7.8% H1 Revenue Decline, Retail Sales Rise 41.5%
Kumulus Vape, Europe’s first publicly listed vape company, reported a 7.8% year-on-year decline in first-half 2026 revenue. Amid changing conditions in France’s vape market, the company said channel diversification helped offset pressure, with physical store sales increasing 41.5% year on year. Listed on Euronext Access Paris in 2019 and later transferred to Euronext Growth Paris, Kumulus Vape is viewed as a representative company of Europe’s vape sector. Its performance highlights the industry’s shift from rapid expansion toward more operationally focused growth.
