Egypt Clarifies Customs Duties on E-cigarette Oil
According to the Egyptian Custom's response to e-cigarette dealers, Egypt has confirmed the tax to be paid on e-cigarette oil, which is 2 Egyptian pounds (0.032USD) per milliliter of e-liquid, and the scope of the levy includes nicotine-containing cigarettes of various flavors oil and nicotine-free e-juice.
Tobacco sticks are subject to VAT as normal items.
In addition, Egypt will deduct 10% of each sales unit's price from retail terminal sales to support the health insurance system.
It is reported that Egypt will include the definition of e-cigarettes and heated tobacco in the implementation regulations of the "Law on Prevention of Smoking Harm" in 2021, officially lifting the ban on e-cigarettes.
