According to Turkish media reports on October 16, the Gaziantep town police force has conducted numerous operations against smuggling and drug-related cases in the past month, resulting in the arrest of nine suspects.
During the operation, police authorities confiscated 18,470 grams of cannabis, 2,425 grams of methamphetamine, 1,750 grams of synthetic drugs, and 415 cannabis plants. Additionally, they seized 25 drug pills, 15 grams of heroin, 8,255 packs of illicit cigarettes, 210 kilograms of smuggled tobacco, and 172 e-cigarettes. The police also recovered several historical artifacts, including 245 ancient coins. Furthermore, they discovered 65 smartphones, 11 hunting rifles, and 6 handguns.
