Italian Regulator Investigates BAT's glo Hyper X2 for Advertising Nicotine-free
On April 18, according to foreign media Market Watch, the Italian Competition Authority (AGCM) launched an investigation into British American Tobacco (BAT) and Amazon, saying that the two companies have been providing misleading information in advertisements promoting new heated tobacco devices.
The Italian competition authority said that the advertisement of British American Tobacco's product glo hyper X2 falsely suggested that the product did not contain nicotine; this advertisement on Amazon may expose some consumers, especially minors, to health damage risks.
At present, British American Tobacco and Amazon have yet to respond.
