2Firsts, September 12, 2025 — According to jordannews, Jordan Customs announced on September 9 that the Anti-Smuggling Directorate, in cooperation with other agencies, professionally and efficiently intercepted large consignments of smuggled tobacco products in two independent cases.
The spokesperson detailed the seizures as follows:
13,100 cartons of cigarettes
2,130 e-cigarette devices
13,800 packs of vaping liquids/e-liquids
610 kg of mu’assel (flavoured waterpipe tobacco)
8,250 cigars
Various smoking accessories
Customs noted that the items fail to comply with Jordanian standards and lack approval from health oversight bodies.
