According to Newsis report on January 8th, KT&G of South Korea is currently readjusting its cigarette and heated tobacco product line. Industry sources revealed that KT&G has recently halted production of five traditional cigarettes, including Bohem Slim Fit White, Raison Icepresso, and Esse Ice (5mg), and has introduced new products in succession.
In this product adjustment, KT&G has launched two pods and four traditional cigarettes under the brand "Aiim," in a large-scale product reorganization. Specifically, they have introduced three "Raison ionia" cigarettes, including flavors such as "Mystic Purple," "Ocean Blue," and "Summer Red." Additionally, they have expanded their high-end traditional cigarette product line with the release of "Bohem Cigar Signature," made entirely from Cuban tobacco leaves.
In the field of HNB devices, KT&G has also released new pod products, including two new varieties for the "LIL ABLE" device: "Vapor Stick Tango" and "Vapor Stick Trophy".
In addition, KT&G also plans to launch a new heat-not-burn (HNB) device. During the third quarter conference call in 2024, the company stated that the upcoming launch of the new HNB device is expected to boost sales recovery and drive further growth.
