The award, organized by the Korean Consumer Forum, selects the most loyal and popular brands through online voting and one-on-one phone surveys. "Lil" has maintained the top spot in the heat-not-burn tobacco product category for eight consecutive years.
In 2017, KT&G launched the "Lil" heated tobacco product platform, introducing a range of products such as "SOLID," "HYBRID," and "AIBLE." Additionally, the company was awarded a major prize at the German "iF Design Award 2025" for its design, and in the first half of the year, "Lil" held the top market share in the heated tobacco products market in South Korea.
Lil" has provided consumers with a variety of choices through technological research and development, including user-friendly features such as "pause smoking" and "fast charging." In order to expand the "Lil" brand series, KT&G recently launched a dedicated tobacco stick "RAIIM" and reduced its price to 4500 Korean won (about $3) to increase market competitiveness.
Meanwhile, KT&G plans to accelerate its development in the global market, expanding to 33 countries and regions worldwide, including Japan and Russia, based on the innovation and competitiveness of the "Lil" brand. By 2024, KT&G's overseas intellectual property rights have accumulated to over 11,000.
