Northampton Health Committee Considers "Smoke-Free Generation" Policy
Northampton Health Committee to discuss "Tobacco-Free Generation" policy, banning tobacco sales to those born after Jan 1, 2004.

According to Westernmass News on September 19, the Health Committee of Northampton, Massachusetts, will hold a meeting to discuss implementing a "Smoke-Free Generation" policy that aims to prohibit the sale of tobacco and nicotine products to individuals born on or after January 1, 2004.


If the measure is passed, products including cigarettes, e-cigarettes, cigars, chewing tobacco, and nicotine pouches will all be prohibited from being sold to the younger generation.


The meeting will be held virtually on Thursday evening (19th) local time.
