Malaysian Opposition Promises Full Support for 2023 GEG Bill

Malaysian opposition pledges full support for the proposed Public Health Tobacco Control Bill in Parliament, Utusan reports.

According to Utusan's recent report, a Malaysian Member of Parliament has pledged that the opposition will fully support and approve the proposed "2023 Public Health Tobacco Control Bill" (RUU) if the government presents it seriously in the Lower House of Parliament.

Member of Parliament Ahmad Fadhli Shaari has stated that in order to ensure the well-being of future generations, this bill needs to be promptly introduced. He further emphasized that the government should not succumb to any pressure from individuals who disagree with the proposition of this bill.
