2Firsts observed that ZYN has introduced limited-edition coffee flavours and an on-site can engraving service in the duty-free zone at Stockholm Arlanda Airport, alongside the rollout of its upgraded packaging and independent core-shelf displays, forming a complete product presentation and consumer experience system.

Stockholm, Nov. 17, 2025 — 2Firsts conducted an on-site visit to Stockholm Arlanda Airport and observed that ZYN, the nicotine pouch brand under Philip Morris International, has significantly upgraded its retail presence in the airport’s duty-free stores. The enhancements include newly updated packaging, the launch of limited-edition flavours, and a personalized engraving service—further strengthening the brand’s leading position in the Swedish nicotine pouch market.

ZYN Secures Core Shelf Position, New Packaging Fully Deployed

In the duty-free zone, ZYN is displayed alongside IQOS and Marlboro in the core shelf area. Notably, ZYN occupies the most prominent and largest section of this space. Products are arranged by colour-coded flavour segments—blue for mint, green for herbal/citrus, and brown for coffee—forming a highly visible flavour wall.

Limited-Edition Coffee Flavours Highlighted; Pricing Aligned with Dubai Duty-Free

All ZYN displays at Arlanda Airport use a consistent 5-can bundle price:

  • 159 SEK (Non-EU travellers) — approx. USD 14–15
  • 179 SEK (EU travellers) — approx. USD 19

For comparison, 2Firsts observed at Dubai Duty-Free on Nov. 13 that ZYN’s 5-can bundle retailed for USD 15–17, indicating broadly aligned price levels across major international hubs.

On-Site Engraving Machine Introduced for Personalized Can Customization

2Firsts also noted that ZYN has deployed a branded xTool laser engraving machine in the duty-free area, offering consumers the option to personalize their ZYN cans. A designated station marked “Personalize your ZYN cans” guides travellers through the process, which is facilitated by store staff.

Personalization features are uncommon in nicotine pouch retail environments, signalling ZYN’s attempt to reposition the product from a functional consumable toward a lifestyle-oriented item with gifting attributes.
