According to a report from British retail website betterretailing, Japan Tobacco International (JTI) has launched its heat-not-burn product Ploom X Advanced in the UK. This upgraded version is said to be released in 2022, but it is currently only available in selected supermarkets, authorized independent retailers, and convenience stores in the Greater London area.
This product includes two key improved features, including an optimized HeatFlow system that produces more smoke upon initial use, as well as a faster charging speed that can fully charge in less than 90 minutes.
The Ploom X Advanced is only compatible with Evo tobacco pods, which come in a variety of flavors and are retailed at a price of £4.5 per packet.
Ploom X Advanced is introducing a bundled package that includes the Ploom X Advanced device, a charger, a USB cable, a cleaning stick, and two packs of Evo tobacco sticks (in copper and green options). This bundle will be available for purchase at retail stores in the Greater London area at a retail price of £19.
Mark McGuinness, JTI's UK Market Director, stated, "The heated tobacco market continues to rapidly expand, offering immense potential, which is why we continue to invest in and enhance our products."
Currently, Ploom X Advanced is available for sale on the official Ploom UK website and will also be offered in bundle format at 12 wholesale warehouses in the Greater London area from September 18th onwards.
