According to 9NEWS, Philip Morris International (PMI) is still building its ZYN nicotine pouch manufacturing facility in Aurora, Colorado, but the first pouches produced at the site have already reached the market.
The report said PMI hosted a media tour, during which company representatives brought reporters into two buildings at the site to show how ZYN nicotine pouches are being produced. PMI said the first ZYN products were manufactured at the Aurora facility in September 2025 and have since gone to market.
The project is valued at about $600 million and is located in Aurora’s Sun Empire industrial development, near the intersection of 56th Avenue and Harvest Road. Construction began in late 2024. The report noted the site covers roughly 150 acres and that infrastructure work remains ongoing, with large portions of the main building still under construction. PMI did not disclose what percentage of the facility has been completed.
