According to a report by Mskagency on October 17, the Russian government has lifted the ban on inspections of stores selling e-cigarettes and hookahs. Originally, this ban was set to remain in place until January 1, 2025. Artem Metelev, the Chairman of the Youth Policy Committee in the State Duma, shared this news on his Telegram channel.
He stated, "The government has decided to cancel the inspection ban on e-cigarette and hookah shops, originally scheduled until January 1, 2025. This decision was made following the appeal of our four Duma committees. Subsequently, large-scale inspections of sales points will be conducted to ensure compliance with relevant laws regarding the sale of e-cigarettes. There are no longer any restrictions for regulatory agencies." This message emphasizes this point.
In the relevant documents, it has been announced on the official legal information portal that an assessment of mandatory requirements for the circulation of certain types of products will be implemented until January 1, 2025. This decision concerns stores selling e-cigarettes and hookahs.
In a recent inspection carried out by the Russian United Party's "Youth Guard," it was discovered that certain regions in Russia have failed to comply with the law prohibiting the sale of e-cigarettes to minors.
