This shipment is the largest batch of smuggled goods seized by customs officials in the area in 2024.
Some of the products did not have a label indicating that consumption tax had been paid, or the labels used showed signs of being fake. The total value of the batch of goods exceeded 3 million rubles (35,151 US dollars).
Currently, law enforcement officials are deciding whether to bring criminal charges against the businessman.
