According to a report from Mosregtoday on March 10th, a boarding school in St. Petersburg, Russia caught fire due to an e-cigarette. The school is located on Malo-Ochtinski Prospekt, and the fire resulted in injury to a 15-year-old boy who has been hospitalized for treatment.
The fire originated from a mattress on the second floor of the dormitory. The local fire department dispatched 15 employees to the scene and successfully evacuated 16 students.
It is worth mentioning that, at the end of last year, the lower house of Parliament proposed a bill to classify e-cigarettes and nicotine-containing products under the same legal regulatory framework.
