Significant Decrease in Cigarette Production in Azerbaijan
According to Fineko and abc.az, cigarette production in Azerbaijan has decreased by 63.4% compared to last year.

According to reports from Fineko and abc.az media on September 26, 2023, the Azerbaijan State Statistics Committee has revealed a significant decrease in cigarette production compared to the same period last year. The total cigarette production has plummeted by 63.4%, representing a reduction of 1927.7 tons, which is 2.7 times higher than the previous year. The cigarette production from January to August 2022 stood at 3041.4 tons.

 

As of September 1, 2023, the inventory of cigarettes amounted to 598.9 tons, reflecting a 40% decrease compared to the same period last year, with a reduction of 400 tons. In the same timeframe in 2022, the inventory of cigarettes stood at 998.9 tons.
