2Firsts, September 8th - according to gazete3 reported in September 6th, in an operation by the Gendarmerie Command in Manisa Province, Turkey, a large quantity of smuggled cigarettes and e-cigarettes were seized, and a suspect was detained.
According to the information received, a team from a branch of the Provincial Gendarmerie Command learned that a person was dealing in smuggled cigarettes and e-cigarettes. On September 4th, the police, armed with a warrant from the judicial authorities, searched the suspect’s vehicle. During the search, the police found 137 e-cigarettes, 530 packs of smuggled cigarettes, and 41 boxes of nicotine gum.
The vehicle involved in the case was towed to a trustee’s parking lot, and legal proceedings were initiated against the detained suspect for violation of Law No. 5607 on the Fight Against Smuggling.
