Hong Kong police have seized about 64 million illegally imported cigarettes, involving a total of HK$180 million. The smuggling syndicate allegedly imported the cigarettes illegally, repackaged them and sold them overseas. If legally imported, the contraband would have generated HK$120 million in tax revenue.
