Swiss Prevention Campaign Raises Awareness about Dangers of E-cigarettes
According to Laliberte on November 13th, the Swiss health and social affairs bureau (DSAS) and CIPRET have jointly launched a campaign to prevent the harm of e-cigarettes.

According to a report by Laliberte on November 13th, the Swiss Department of Health and Social Affairs (DSAS) and CIPRET have jointly launched an e-cigarette harm prevention campaign.

E-cigarettes have gained popularity among children and adolescents due to their sweet flavors and unique packaging designs, such as resembling highlighters, lip gloss, or USB drives. However, the harmful effects of these brightly colored cylinder-shaped e-cigarettes should not be underestimated.

According to the DSAS, the nicotine found in e-cigarettes is synthetically produced and is even more addictive than the nicotine found in traditional tobacco. Furthermore, the nicotine concentration in e-cigarettes is generally higher, which could potentially cause harm to one's health.

According to DSAS, heated liquids may also contain chemicals. A study conducted by Unisanté revealed that among the French-speaking population aged between 14 and 25, six out of ten individuals have tried e-cigarettes, and three out of ten have used e-cigarettes within the past 30 days.
