Police received a tip-off that a truck was frequently transporting e-cigarettes in Lopburi Province. Subsequently, authorities arrested a 31-year-old resident of Phichit Province, using the alias Tos, at the crime scene and seized 4,476 e-cigarettes with a total value of 3,088,440 Thai Baht (approximately $100,000 USD).
This case has been loaded onto a transportation vehicle, ready to be sold to multiple regions in order to illegally import goods and avoid customs duties. According to Thailand's Customs Act of 2017, the suspects will be charged with concealing, selling, and buying items without paying taxes or prohibited goods.
