Turkish Police Arrest Suspect in Anti-Smuggling Operation
Turkish police have arrested a suspect named D.A. for smuggling activities and seized 71 e-cigarettes in Aydin province.

According to a report by Turkish media outlet Sondakika on January 12, a special task force of the Adıyaman Province Police Department, responsible for combating smuggling and organized crime, successfully arrested a suspect named D.A. during an operation targeting violations of the 5607 Law, and initiated criminal proceedings against him.

 

The Diddim Sub-Bureau of the Special Task Force for Combating Smuggling and Organized Crime, under the Aydin Provincial Police Department, has been actively working to combat smuggling. It has come to our attention that during their efforts to crackdown on violations of the Act No. 5607, the team has successfully confiscated 71 e-cigarettes. As part of this operation, a suspect named D.A. has been successfully arrested, and criminal proceedings have been initiated against D.A.

 

This operation demonstrates the ongoing efforts of the Turkish police in combating illegal smuggling activities, effectively ensuring the safety of local communities.
