The Vermont House passes ban on flavored tobacco products aimed at curbing sales to addicted children, to be sent to Senate.

According to a report from WCAX on March 15th, the Vermont House of Representatives has passed a ban on flavored tobacco products.

The ban aims to prohibit the sale of flavored tobacco, e-cigarettes, and mint-flavored products to children addicted to tobacco.

The bill was ultimately passed with a vote of 83 to 53 and will now be submitted to the Senate.

Singapore Charges 14 Over Vape Syndicate Under Organised Crime Act

Singapore police said 13 people were charged on Oct 30 under the Organised Crime Act over an alleged syndicate supplying vapes locally; a 14th suspect is expected to be charged on Oct 31. All 14 had earlier been charged for possessing, or conspiring to possess, vapes for sale and are remanded. Police said the group allegedly imported vapes from Malaysia. OCA carries up to S$100,000 fine or five years’ jail; vape import/sale offences also face stiff penalties.

Trump Signs H.R.5371: FDA to Deploy $200 Million for ENDS Enforcement

President Donald Trump signed the Continuing Appropriations Act, 2026 (H.R.5371) on November 12, Section 772 of Part B—the Agriculture, Rural Development, FDA, and Related Agencies Appropriations Act (S.2256)—requires the FDA to allocate no less than $200 million in tobacco user fees to enforce regulations against illegal e-cigarettes, vapes, and other ENDS products. At least $2 million of this funding supports a federal multi-agency task force targeting products originating from the China.
